TYPES OF CANCER

Cancer is a condition where abnormal cell growth occurs by the division of affected cells, further effecting organs, results in multiplication of cell growth and formation of tumours. Cancers are more than 120 types depend on its effect on the body, but classified into types based on the organ targeted by the cancer cells.

Cancer can happen to any age group of people. The most common cancers in old aged people are skin, lung, colorectal, breast (in women), and prostate (in men). Many cancers in adults are linked to lifestyle-related risk factors such as smoking, being overweight or obese or to other environmental factors. A few people are strongly influenced by changes in a person’s DNA, that they inherit from their parents.

Cancer effects not a specific organ but the disease is prone to most of the organs of the body, not just limited to specific organ but in fact reaches to the other organs, and it is not possible to determine which are the organs going to be affected as it gets severe. So if it is identified at the very early age the possibility to stop the cells growing rapidly can be reduced.
